Our History

Socora Homes is backed by Slawson Companies, a nationally known and respected business established in 1960 and a member of the Wichita Area Builders Association, National Homebuilders Associations and the Wichita Area Chamber of Commerce.
Slawson co-developed northeast Wichita’s Tallgrass master-planned community in the 1980’s. This 600-acre development is noted for its upscale shopping, championship golf and carefully integrated commercial development. Slawson is responsible for numerous residential developments in west and east Wichita.
